PVC INSULATED JUMPER WIRE

TJV

GENERAL
This specification covers the requirements of jumper wire used for cross connecting purposes and main distribution frame wiring by The Telephone Organization of Thailand (TOT).
CONSTRUCTION :
Conductor : Tinned annealed copper wire, 0.50 and 0.65 mm. (24, 22 AWG) in size.
Insulation : Color coded or polyvinyl chloride.
Twisted Pairs : The insulated conductors are twisted into pairs, or triple with specified color combinations to provide pair identification.
Identification of conductor : The insulation of conductor shall be coloured as follows :

No. Of cores nominal
Conductor Diameter : 0.5 mm
Conductor Diameter : 0.65 mm

ELECTRICAL CHARACTERISTICS : TJV
1. Conductor resistance when measured at or corrected to 20 °C.
                    0.5 mm. = 95.1 Ohm/km.
                    0.65 mm. = 60.7 Ohm/km.
2. Insulation resistance when measured on 10 m. of single wire.
                    (Immersed in water) = 200 Megohm-km.
3. The dielectric of each insulated wire to all other wires.
(Immersed in water) = 1.0 kv (AC) 3 seconds.
